I just started reading Made You Up by Francesca Zappia and it’s pretty interesting so far!  I rarely get the chance to read novels about mental illness and after hearing so many good things about this book, I just had to pick it up!

I just finished reading Golden Son by Pierce Brown and man, was it one intense and shocking ride!  Since I’ve read Red Rising last year, I wanted to see what will happen to Darrow after the games he had to go through in the first book and the second book in the series was even more intense than the last since there are lots of betrayals going on and that ending just killed me to the bone! I can’t wait to read the last book “Morning Star” soon!

Its Monday

Since I just recently bought Caraval by Stephanie Garber, I wanted to read this book and since I’ve heard lots of good things about this book, I am definitely excited to read this book!  Another book I wanted to read is When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon, since I also bought this book and I wanted to read another book that deals with diversity.  The last book I wanted to read is Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige, which is a book that has mixed reviews, but I’m still interested in reading it because I’m really interested in the “Wizard of Oz” lore.

I finally picked up the second book in the “Red Rising” series Golden Son by Pierce Brown since I really enjoyed the first book Red Rising!  I haven’t gotten too far into this book, but I’m really excited to see how things will pan out with Darrow!

I finally finished Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas and I had to wonder why I waited so long to read this book!  The characters and the world they lived in was amazing and I loved the fact that we have a strong female assassin in this series and I can’t wait to see more adventures from Celaena, Chaol and Dorian!

I had read Nora Roberts’ Vision in White and I really enjoyed that book and I wanted to read the second book in the series Bed of Roses as soon as possible!  The next book I wanted to read is Made You Up by Francesca Zappia, which has been on my TBR shelf for awhile now and I wanted to see how this book goes!  The last book I wanted to read is Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige and even though I’ve heard mixed things about this book, I still wanted to give this book a try!

I finally got around to reading Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas!  I had to put this book on hold for awhile because I was busy reading other books at the time, but now I finally got a chance to read one of my most anticipated reads for the year and the book is starting off pretty good so far!

I finally finished The Love That Split the World by Emily Henry and even though I thought that the book started off pretty strongly, it got a bit too confusing towards the middle and end and it sort of ruined the book for me.  I did like the fact that this book focused on a Native American main character, which is rare to see in young adult books and Emily Henry’s writing was beautiful to read!

After I had finished reading Red Rising by Pierce Brown, I wanted to tackle the second book in the series called Golden Son and I’m really excited to check this book out since I enjoyed Red Rising!  The second book I’m going to read is An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir and I’ve heard so many good things about this book that I have to give it a try!  The last book I will try to read is All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr, which is another book that I kept hearing good things about and my book friends keep on recommending me this book that I had to try it out!

I just picked up The Love that Split the World by Emily Henry after hearing some good things about this book and so far, it seems like it’s beautifully written, although I’m not sure what is actually going on at this point. Let’s hope this story is good!

I just finished reading Dark Triumph by Robin LaFevers and I loved it even more than “Grave Mercy!” I loved how personal and dark Sybella’s side of the story was as it made me really connect to her character and I really enjoyed her relationship with Beast as it was both heartwarming and fun to read!

I still need to read Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas since it was my TBR pick of January and I also want to dive into more of the “Throne of Glass” series!  Next book I wanted to read is NOS 4A2 by Joe Hillsince I’ve been hearing lots of good things about this book and I really enjoyed Joe Hill’s Locke and Key graphic novel series!  The last book I wanted to read next is The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon since this has been on my TBR list for many years now and I think it’s time I should read this book!

I finally got the chance to read Dark Triumph by Robin LaFevers since I had to put this book on hold so many times due to reading other books at the time and I’m really loving it so far!  The characters are really intriguing and I can’t wait to see how the main heroine will handle the tyrant later on in the story!

I just finished my NetGalley read called Wicked Intentions by Elizabeth Hoyt and it was such an intense and exciting novel!  It’s been a while since I’ve read a historical romance and I really loved the interactions between Lord Caire and Temperance. I’m definitely picking up the second book in this series!

Wicked Intentions by Elizabeth Hoyt is one of my recent reads through NetGalley and even though I haven’t quite started it yet (been kind of busy these last few days), I’m still interested in checking it out especially since it’s been a while since I had read a historical romance novel!

www-what-did-you-recently-finish-reading

I just finished Alice by Christina Henry and I was quite surprised that I ended up loving it!  I just loved the dark and twisted take it did on “Alice in Wonderland” and this is easily the darkest and grimmest version of the tale I had checked out yet!  A bit of a warning for anyone who wants to read this book: this book has strong rape scenes and violence and I was disgusted with the rape scenes, even though I still ended up loving this book.

Dark Triumph by Robin LaFevers and Simon vs the Homo Sapiens by Becky Albertalli are two books that are still on my TBR list and I really want to read those two books as soon as possible!  Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas was the winner for my TBR book of the month for January and I’m really excited to check that book out!

After hearing so many good things about this book, I was interested in trying out Alice by Christina Henry and so far, it’s quite an intense and intriguing twist on “Alice in Wonderland,” although this isn’t the first time I’ve seen a darker and edgier take on “Alice in Wonderland” (Tim Burton’s version and American McGee’s version of the tale anyone)?www-what-did-you-recently-finish-reading

I finally was able to finish reading Vision in White by Nora Roberts and it was a pretty good book that helped introduced me to Nora Roberts’ works!  I’m hoping to grab the next few books in the “Bride Quartet” series soon!www-what-do-you-think-youll-read-next

I just got Trigger Warning by Neil Gaiman and I wanted to read another novel written by Neil Gaiman as soon as possible! I also wanted to read Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli since it’s been on my TBR shelf for a long time, but I was never able to get around to it!  Dark Triumph by Robin LaFevers is also another book that’s on my radar since I really enjoyed the first book Grave Mercy by Robin LaFevers and I would like to be able to complete this series!  The last book that I wanted to read is Curioddity by Paul Jenkins since this is the first ARC book I had received from mail and I wanted to go and read it as soon as possible!
