In this Scandinavian tale , a young girl is forced out of her home when a white bear made a proposal to her family that if they give the girl to him, he will make the girl live like a queen in his home and he will make her family as rich as they were poor. So, when the young girl lived with the bear for a few months, she begins to form a friendship with the bear. But one day, the girl wanted to go back to her family and the bear allowed her to go on the condition that the girl does not say anything about her life with the bear to her family. Unfortunately, the girl breaks her promise and she ends up telling her family about her life with the bear and her mother gave her the advice to light the candle at night when the mysterious man (who has been sleeping with the girl ever since she was spending time with the bear) shows up in her bed again. So, when the girl used to candle to see the young man at night, she ended up breaking her promise and now she has to travel east of the sun west of the moon to free her beloved prince from a magic spell!
