Top Ten Tuesday #4: Top 5 Bookish Goals for 2015.

Blog 8 Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish.

So today’s Top Ten Tuesday theme is my top 5 bookish goals for 2015!

So, here’s my top 5 Bookish Goals for 2015 (in no particular order)!

1. Make this website even more popular: I want to get more people interested in Rabbit Ears Productions and in making this website more popular, it would help people learn more about this company and try out the great stories that this company has to offer!
2. Complete the Rabbit Ears Challenges: I’m pretty bad at challenges in general, but hopefully I’ll be able to do more challenges this year and complete most of them while checking out newer Rabbit Ears titles!
3. Make more people aware of the Rabbit Ears series:  Sure, Rabbit Ears Productions has its fans, but I would like to get more people interested in this series and I hope that 2015 would be a great year for people to try out this series if they are looking for new books to read!
4. Read the rest of the series: Even though I’ve been reading the Rabbit Ears series ever since I was little, there’s still a lot of stories I haven’t read yet and 2015 seems like a great read to get started!
5. Read at least over 100 books this year:  I had actually set up a goal for 2014 to read over 100 books, but I didn’t make it this year, so hopefully I’ll be able to read up to 100 books this year!

So, what are your top 5 Bookish goals for 2015? Please feel free to answer in the comments below!

TarghettaOffTopic

Hello everyone! Welcome to another weekly “Off-Topic Discussion!” This week’s off-topic discussion is, “Are You Getting Involved in some Reading Challenges for 2015?”

I’m personally trying to get involved in several reading challenges next year, even though I usually don’t finish half of them! But, it’s the fun in doing challenges that really counts.

The challenges that I am participating in next year are:

Story Discussions #2: East of the Sun West of the Moon (1991)

Hey everybody!  Welcome to  “Story Discussions,” where we talk about various Rabbit Ears stories each week and you can talk about what you liked or hated about the Rabbit Ears story we will discuss for that week.
This week’s Rabbit Ears story we will be discussing this week is:
East of the Sun West of the Moon (1991)

Narrated by: Max Von Sydow
Music by: Lyle Mays
Illustrated by: Vivienne Flesher

One of my favorite stories from the “Rabbit Ears: We All Have Tales” Collection, Max Von Sydow was fantastic in narrating this story about true love and I really loved the fact that this story has a strong female protagonist who actually went on a journey to save her prince from a spell cast on him by an evil troll queen!  Lyle Mays’ music was truly beautiful and it fit the soothing mood of this story and Vivienne Flesher’s artwork greatly brought out the beauty of this story!

So, what did you liked or hated about Max Von Sydow’s narration on “East of the Sun West of the Moon?”

Off-Topic Discussions #3: What were your Saturday Morning Cartoons?

Hello everyone! Welcome to another weekly “Off-Topic Discussion!”  This week’s off-topic discussion is, “What were your favorite Saturday Morning Cartoons?

If you had heard the news about the last of the Saturday Morning blocks “Vortex” being replaced a few months back, then you know about the huge backlash that came from that announcement.  So, this week, I want to ask everyone what were their favorite Saturday Morning cartoons?

In no particular order:

1. Garfield and Friends

GandF

I am a huge fan of the Garfield comics and “Garfield and Friends” greatly complement the comics’ frenetic and humorous nature!

2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987 and 2003)

I am a huge fan of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” so watching this series has always been a must see for me!

3.  X-Men: The Animated Series

I am a huge fan of “X-Men” and X-Men: the Animated Series was probably one of the best animated series I had ever seen of X-Men!

4. Batman: The Animated Series

“Batman: The Animated Series was absolutely one of the best superhero cartoons out there and has made me love the “Batman” comics even more!

5. Sonic the Hedgehog (Satam)

I will admit that I didn’t like this series when it first came out, but after watching it a few years,  I started to really enjoy this series and it has become one of my favorite animated versions of everyone’s favorite blue hedgehog!
