Hello everyone! WWW Wednesday is a book meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On a World of Words and you just answer three questions and leave your links down below! Sorry I’ve been missing in action for the last few months, but hopefully I’ll be getting back on track with my reading this time around!
I’m finally reading “Illuminae” by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff and it’s pretty interesting so far! I will admit that the narrative was a bit confusing at first, because I’m not used to reading a book that is mostly set up as an interview or as a Wikipedia page, but it’s starting to grow on me a bit.
I just finished reading “Shadow of the Fox” by Julie Kagawa and it was amazing!!! I just loved the Japanese mythology that went into this book and all the characters were awesome, especially Yumeko, Tatsumi and Okame! After reading the ending of this book, I am so ready to read the sequel “Soul of the Sword!”
The first book I wanted to read is “Our Dark Duet” by Victoria Schwab. I had just taken a break from reading this book and hopefully I’ll dive back into it! The next book I wanted to read is “The Cruel Prince” by Holly Black. This was a book that I had owned for awhile now and I’ve been hearing so many good things about this book that I wanted to read it as soon as possible! I had just recently picked up a new book written by C.G. Drews called “A Thousand Perfect Notes” and this would be the very first book I actually read that is written by a fellow book blogger (Paper Fury, anyone?) and I can’t wait to dive into this book soon!
I loved the cruel prince. Illuminae, i started reading and I feel like I’m going to love this one. As for the others, they’re all on my TBR.
Cool!
Enjoy Illuminae! And yes, the epistolary format can get a little confusing if you’re not used to it, but I find it very immersive after a while 🙂
Cool!
How are you liking Illuminae? I hope you’ll love it 🙂
It’s pretty interesting so far, even though the format is a bit confusing to read.
It takes time to get used to it… After that it is 💛
Cool!
It was a bit hard for me to get into Illuminae at first, too, but I loved the characters so much. Hope you end up enjoying the format! I sure did. I thought it was a pretty unique experience.
So glad to hear you liked Shadow of the Fox! I can’t wait for the sequel, either, especially with how the first one ends! *flails*
I thought The Cruel Prince was a great read! Very dark and backstabby and just stabby in general, which is nice. A Thousand Perfect Notes is beautiful, but also very likely to destroy your feels, so I’m just warning you now. xD
Thanks!
I fall a little bit in love wiht the Shadow of the Fox cover every time I see it. I really need to read some Julie Kagawa. I haven’t read anything by her but I feel like I will love it all.
You definitely should!!! 😀
All these are new to me but I hope they are fantastic reads for you. Happy reading
Thanks!!
